The Sum of Things... Are You An Archetype or A Stereotype?

I do not have all the answers. ( don't want to) I, like the other, 7 billion people on this earth who have opinions often speak them. ( I am ok with others not agreeing with me.) I am not high maintenance but I have standards that come with some pretty steep expectations. I typically stay to myself not causing any undue duress to anyone. I focus on things that are really important [my studies, my health, my kids and my business]and what makes me be a better individual that I can apply in my life and for the ones that I teach.  I draw lines and create boundaries because I have learned in the cruelest of ways what I will allow and tolerate in my life so I am and stay protected. I study, I research... I try to broaden my surroundings as well as broaden my mind. I despise narrow mindedness and people who see things through tunnel vision. Linear vision creates harsh narratives because the person refuses to see how their tunnel vision creates a scenario that only benefits them.

For my personal growth and the classes I am needing to teach, I am continuing to study in sociology and the effects of archetypes that create stereotypes and the narrowmindedness that creates judgment because something does not align with what a person sees. The person is so focused on 1 thing they do not understand how a trickle-down effect can impact other people outside of their one-way view. There is such a thing as a peripheral bird's eye view. (things that occur outside of what they only see or know)

It is that judgment and that simple mindset that keeps people in a bubble; only being concerned with what belief system that resides in their... 4 walls for lack of better words. There are all shapes, sizes, incomes and political platforms that apply to this. People choose to stay rigid in their tapering representation for they will not contemplate another way to exist because it is all they know... which creates an archetype: A character that represents a universal pattern in human nature which then, in turn, becomes a stereotype! A person who has a mistaken idea or a belief, based on how they look at things through an untrue notion. Example: an old person who has nothing to do but to look out their window ... being a busy body focusing on something that does not fit their narrative instead of focusing on some other matter in their own household that may personally serve them better. Can you decipher the ARCHETYPE AND THE STEREOTYPE?

This also applies to any cartoon character (because art imitates life) let's take Jug Head from the Archies, his view on relationships... "love complicates things." If there is nothing in it for him or no one to feed him... whether that be his ego or food he has no reason to entertain the idea of a relationship. He will let women chase him because he knows the desired effect that it will achieve. The stereotype: A PLAYER; possibly a narcissistic one at that!

Let us dive farther, a high functioning alcoholic; will seemingly fulfill societal tasks, career, family and other routine objectives in a constant altered state because he/she has become tolerant of a chemical stimulant that is consumed on a daily basis in large quantities. An alcoholic; has no ability to control the amount of alcohol he consumes. He still will have disadvantages in performing routine tasks and will highly possess moodiness and mood swings. He/she will often look disheveled. His appearance has no importance or health holds no value and life does not exist without some form of drinking involved. The stereotype: An addicted person struggling with deep internal issues, chemical imbalances because alcoholism is a disease. They have apparent issues with substance abuse that they will not acknowledge and there is their misconception of 'there is nothing wrong with me. Its you! " (Somewhere along the lines, this person is going to mess up severely having it interfere with all relationships. {The fear being exposed!})

In all of our daily lives, we see the archetypes and the stereotypes that follow. Maybe in my line of work that I am trying to do, I am just a bit more familiar with this dynamic of human sociology. As I am building and teaching my business coaching to creative-minded women and my classes in vision board creating... whats important in this is, how we don't allow those archetypes and the stereotypes to pass judgments in our lives that keep us from doing the things that are meant for us to do, where we should be focusing on what each needs to do, doing the right thing, without being persuaded or pressured to fit into their narrow mindedness... because they refuse to see things in a more peripheral view! or how that scant view has a sever trickle-down effect!

I take into count not everybody is going to have the same view as me and that is ok. I am not bothered by what my neighbor( used in a broad spectrum) does or does not do as all long as any effect does not personally harm me in any way or affect me financially. My focus is on continuing to build my business and restructure my classes so others too can be just focused on what is good for them in their personal life and their personal space.
