Live A Life You Don't Need A Vacation From
I have never been a Monday morning kind of person. Ya know the one that has to get up early for work on that day after when the weekend ends. I have always worked some entrepreneurial schedule chasing a dollar looking for opportunities and obtaining recognition from almost anyone that will take notice and pay. Isn't that what it's about the dollar amount? What your worth is in an industry? What you bring in and what can be brought to the table? What pays the bills and keeps that roof over your head and the food on the table???
I'm not so sure anymore...
Love what you do and the money follows. Live a life you don't need a vacation from... Enjoy the serendipity moments of creating your livelihood. What did he tell me? Oh! that's right!!! " Focus on one thing and become good at it!" Isn't that what makes you become a professional? A sought out commodity that someone needs? A skill that someone else can not do? Isn't that why a person keeps trying to be the best at their craft? and they stick at it??? Why a person risk the routine of working for someone else so they can work on their own abilities to become the best?
Oh, I'm not delusional and no I am not hiding any pipe! I see a vision and I have been trying to stick to it in spite of some heavy criticism or opposition. The truth of it all, I am not making a lot of money but I am surviving just fine... the need for material things is not of any importance. What has become important is knowing that I am honing in on a skill and using it to my best advantage all the while making a small living.
Sure everybody would like to have the finer things in life... but maybe my finer things include seeing things that no one else can. Perspective is a beautiful gift as is having a talent! Not everyone sees what they believe in... and can bring it to fruition.
Not everyone can be an entrepreneur either some people work best slaving for the man. When you work for yourself, It is harder to chase a dollar than to work for anyone person receiving a weekly paycheck. An entrepreneur is constantly scoping out all avenues. Marketing any which way they can seeking opportunities from every angle possible. It's a 15/7 day if not longer. It doesn't stop at any certain time... there is no clock. Your mind races at a pace most can't even fathom. I wake up in the middle of the night wondering and wandering... where next? I search and search and I get in the car and I go... blindly knowing something, someone is needing what I am providing... inspiration, hope, a view, perspective, my words, my humor, my creative eye, my talent, my skill...MY WORK!
Love what you do and the money follows... Live a life you don't need a vacation from!! Never get too busy making a living that you forget to make a life! Nobody on their death bed says, " I should have worked more!"
