What's In a Book?
How is it a person thinks they can judge a book by its cover? All pretty and fancied up, edges hard and full of color. (without reading or knowing) The contents all telling a story and painting pictures for all to imagine. The creative shell for a writer to pour their heart and soul into. Romance, fiction, truths, emotions, heartache, sickness, health, wealth, dreams and something to long for... that fills the pages. Adventures, hopes and fears...
Characters and the personalities that make them come to life... the hero, the heroine, the antagonist, the protagonist, the villain and the one you love to hate! It's who did what to who and what makes it all so interesting that everyone wants to read. Is it a fairytale? Is it fiction? Is it fact? Is it real? Can you relate? Does seem familiar? Does it resonate feeling with you? Are you moved? Are you angered? Do you want to rebuttal and shout? Do you want more? Are you saddened when you have gotten to the end?
That is the crazy thing about what the writer wants you to become familiar with. What the writer wants you to know and how the story line is portrayed... Where you have to feel something! Envy, sorrow, empathy, disgust, guilt, love, sadness... desire! It is all is about wording... how it flows and how it comes together. It is what makes the perfect story.
The synopsis and how it reads... the short little bio of what you are about to delve into. Sinking your teeth and gritting down hard on truths, morals and the value of how these characters all came to life. Better than any Hollywood rag... just look around, things seemingly familiar. All a person has to do is watch and listen... and be in the right place at the right time. Dialog goes a very long way and the imagination even goes further...

Game Changer: A man (Jake) with a hidden past. Military trained trying to forget a life from so long ago and a woman (Jess) doing her job caught in between what's right and what needs to be exposed, a mob affiliated association. Searching for truths, finding love and exposing an underground operation run by the cities mayor. Illicit affairs conducted by a city corrupt combining three of its utility companies for gaining control of funds misappropriated, Operating an underground plant... growing and cultivating more things than combined utilities. (Jess) Falling in love with who would become the fall guy. Endangering herself for what she believed to be true in value and true of heart. Exposing the cities biggest scandal since days of prohibition. Rescuing Jake from a life being trapped by coercions.
SeaSide Shore: A midwestern girl (Jocelyn) who inherits a run-down beach cottage resort. Begrudgingly colliding with a semi-permanent resident (Collin) with a shady past. A stubborn worn down off shore oil driller never wanting anything or anyone until he meets her. His idea of commitment is a 4-day binge. He trying to deny all feelings for this intelligent hard working woman. He hides behind his job offering her lame excuses for his odd behavior. Both methodically stubborn trying to hold on to each other's way of life. Needing to find ways to convince the other what is best for both and move forward in their relationship. Meanwhile, a reoccurring visitor with ulterior motives tries to take over her resort and move in on her affections. All the while, Collin is back on the rig. She realizes she is unexpectantly pregnant, (after a horrific fight he had returned to a job out of desperation trying to gain his composure and get a handle on his anger and get over an over exaggerated fear.) While training a new crew an explosion occurs ... leaving a crew tossed into the ocean and Collin perceived to be dead. Thru tragedy and triumph, love prevails and he finds his way home after being lost for many mos... to save her from the takeover. Discovering they have had a child. He sets himself free from a life he hid behind realizing he needed her more than anyone ever could have imagined .
When He Had Her: A Narcissisticitic man (Hank) addicted to poorly chosen vices, who sets out destroying his life and everyone else's who comes into his. Abusing every woman that has ever tried to love him. Placing blame on everyone else instead of taking responsibility for his own mishap actions. After a torrid long relationship, discarding a beautiful woman (Beau) leaving her in a predicament she had to deal with on her own, claiming he loved her but could not share or understand her value and or class. She living an entirely different life than what he is used to. Beau, trying to make him see there was life of another way, a life so completely different than the dive associations he is affiliated with and his simple way of living. He makes it a cruel game (still making contact after), all the while together cheating and running around...on her, leaving her with unanswered questions, ignoring and neglecting the family they could have had. Lowering his standard gravitating towards an unattractive embarrassing sloppy woman that everyone loved to talk about. (Ursala) the lesser of existence. In order to make himself feel better about himself, He could be in control, Ursala being played the fool would have no choice but to conform and submit turning tables on him becoming an ugly bitch that makes his life miserable and even more so embarrassing. He living in a condition he can't remove himself from...sliding back to what he knows, basing all his views on a dollar sign and what someone else can do for him.(not answering Ursala's questions, unanswered phone calls, cheap fixes and an unhealthy lifestyle, leaving him more empty and right back to a place he always ends) Angrily denying the life he destroyed and what he needed to do in his life to make it right. Regretting the choice he made and living with a guilt there was not going to be a fix for.
Is there a happy ending... does it get resolved? Who saves who and in what time? How does it all play out and who in the end gets what they want and what they deserve?
Romance, mystery, intrigue, fantasy... sorrow and sadness... til someone saves the day! It's an awakening of the soul, the mind... its who wants who and how they plan on arriving just on time to make it all worth... while!
