United We Stand But Divided We Have Fallen
A hush. A lull... a moment of silence. A world gone insane and people wondering why? If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing. If you have an opinion be politically correct. Take responsibility... do not blame. Be accountable but don't have faults. The right to carry but not the right to arm or bare false witness. United we stand but divided we have fallen.
I typically say nothing about politics, current affairs or racial tensions. In my book, "Do unto others as you would have done to you." You want to be a piece of sh.t that's on you! In karmic ways, it comes back and serves you the way it was served. If you want to lie, or steal, maim or murder what kind of person does that make you? What economic, social, emotional, religious/spiritual type upbringing did you have? Where is your soul as a human being? Where on this dying planet did anyone give any of us the power to be destructive not only to each other but to a nation in which we live? Where if any is respect towards each other as citizens living on this planet? Where is the decency towards mankind? All of us trying to just survive the best we know how with what we have to work with and the conditions that have been thrust upon us? Man oh man oh man... people get a grip. Look in the mirror! What have we all become?
The best I can describe is, we all have been lead into the desert because we were told there was water... and we are all thirsty! Greed and entitlement... drugs and the powerful addictions that have taken hold of our children and our society. Your child does not need one more toy and as a grown person neither do you! ... Children need active parents! You do not need to be their friend! You or your child is not entitled to a thing that is not worked for. You as a parent have been given the responsibility to be an upstanding role model for your child (ren). You have and are producing an environment that is conducive for your child's behavior...
Look around...
I know I am not off track here! When you have entities that constantly hands things to you and you have people that have gone lame lazy it throws the rest of us that are trying to do the right thing in a hand basket going to hell! Entitlements that have given a power hungry nation an edge for destruction. No one is entitled to a damn thing! What you have to work with... within your power... is what you are entitled to! Bottom line end of story! And I say that as a single parent that works part time and has always worked part time! I have maintained within my feasible reasons for surviving and taking care of children. It starts at home! If there is any blame within this nation... it has started in your home.
Plain basic manners and consciousness that are taught to the generation you are raising. Please, thank you, no thank you, yes sir, yes ma'am. RESPECT TOWARDS ALL HUMAN BEINGS. Whether you are religious are not, there are a set of standards, morals and values that need to be remembered. Honor and respect... You do not steal! You do not kill! etc etc etc...
Trades and crafts that have been long forgotten need to be retaught and passed down to a society so they know what it is like to work with their hands and take pride in a job that they did well! Something they built with the two hands that God has given them! Those hands that are meant to work, to help and to prosper and provide... not steal, maim and or kill!
My grandma a saint! It started with conversations around a kitchen table. Everything was open to discussion. There is nothing old fashion about meals prepared and shared. In those open conversations are lessons spoke and taught. Inspiration and motivation were given a new birth... My grandpa a shoe cobbler, worked with his hands, Provided a service to a neighborhood! His craft was a need that took care of the people ... We were taught you take nothing that is not worked for! My family made a meager living providing what needed to be provided for within the means in which they were capable of!
Even my dad with all of his demons, he worked and worked and worked... it starts with the ethics that is instilled in home life.
As a little girl with my head in the clouds, a child without a mother but with having strong role models, my biggest aspirations was to be the mom I did not have. I was not going to leave my children because my children were not going to know what it was like for them not to have a mom around... I did what I could within my know how to provide some kind emotional stability on a limited income because there was more of a value there in MY home! My children were not given the best of everything but they were provided for! They were LOVED, educated, clothed and fed! That is the only entitlement a child deserves! And even today with having a teenager, I am providing the same! My core value has not changed... My children, all three of them are decent, caring, respectful, hard working (even the teenager). They are humble with great work ethics intelligent, kind human beings.
Where are the parents of this nation? Where are the people that have raised and instilled the lack of ? We want to place blame on a society... the blame comes from getting away from AMERICAN family!
A world gone upside down because of lack of respect, in general, has taken precedence over a nation of gun-toting fools. It is not the gun that kills but the person behind it that has no respect for THEM SELF OR LIFE IN GENERAL.
Do unto others as you would have done to you! No one owes you a thing... be accountable for self and all that you hold dear in your household. It changes when we resume to the core of the AMERICAN home life FILLED with family value!
It stops when we stop ... when you say enough is enough and you start to boycott everything that does not hold up to the AMERCIAN standard in which this country was made upon.
