Communication, What a Concept!

I can not believe, the last time I wrote was in March...

This mental and emotional hiatus I have taken ... has taken longer than what I expected. The term get on with life has shaken me to the soul purpose of I can not believe the last couple of years and all that has occurred. I am still trying to sort puzzle pieces but I am coming along nicely, I will add.

I am happy to say, I have come up for air and I have taken on a few new creative mindful projects and I have allowed myself to go out on a date or two. I see a familiar smile that once graced my face and I am rhetorically trying to figure out and find a boundary. This new world of communication, dating, texting and what is allowed has got to be redefined. What ever happened to boy meets girl, girl likes boy and they are available to each other?? Via phone conversation or in person... have you tried kissing through a text? (giggle)

Is it so many are so damaged at this time around they have become guarded with a foot over the fence?  Is this the new "normal?" Always on the run, spreading themselves so thin they don't even realize they kinda left the other person hanging? It makes me question?? the author of  "Where's Waldo?"  she must be female and she has spent a lifetime trying to track down her man to only find him in the most insidious places and circumstances. ha ha ha

Here I am trying to go on with life and be productive and keep up with my "normal" routine which is trying to figure out where in the world is my mind... where in the world is my next gig ... and where in the world am I suppose to fit into this new scenario?  but gosh by golly!!! (Guys you want to make a woman crazy? ... don't answer her text!!! And vice versa I suppose) I hate texting... HATE IT HATE IT!HATE IT!!!  Did I say, I HATE IT?

Why was it invented? Whoever invented it needs to be tortured... with a million, no a tri- million, text on wtf! were they thinking? There should be billboards posted... don't leave the person hanging!!!! Send a simple response...(not while driving!) back to them or even an automated response!!!!! Oh dear God send something!

Communication ... what a concept!

It is just as bad as sending a blind email for a job inquiry. If a person has taken the time to respond to the ad, the person who posted it should have the common courtesy to at least reply back. It takes time to compose and think out what correct words need to be said in that correspondence in order for that person to think, "why this is the prospect who I need!" so it seems over a half a decade I have sent out more inquiries to somewhere in the blastosphere not knowing if the person ever read it or let alone received it. It is frustrating...

Ya know, it all comes down to "in person, communication, face to face or voice to voice." Einstein was correct, "'I fear the day technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots." Not that I am calling anyone an idiot but have we become so inundated with stuff that we all have become avoidant to life's connections at all cost?

I suppose the key to everything is to be available physically and emotionally ... being present in all matters and being up front and honest finding the correct dialog for all communication with a response in a timely matter not leaving the other person hanging in anguish... wondering beyond all human capabilities where in the world did he/she/it go?

Somethings should not be so mind-boggling...

Like this dating thing... me like the concept is not new. I am treading on an odd playing field but I will say, I like it! I like it more when he calls me... and I hear his voice. It says to me... available!!!! and I took the time to call you!

( Cue Petula Clark music ... "don't be afraid to just call me!")

So for all you...PICK UP THE PHONE ...TALK... USE YOUR INSIDE VOICE... ;)  respond to that email and send something back to that text that got sent to you that you left hanging!

Ahhh until next time...

Meet Me In St. Louis,
Kitryn Marie
