Standing on Practicality
It has been a rough couple of weeks.. actually Months. I have become this version of myself that I never thought I had in me. It is completely out of character for me to disrupt anyone's life, business, or personal life, or the way they move about in their daily existence. Standing on principle and sticking up for what I know to be correct is exhausting. The panic attacks were intense, and my deep love for research and law saw a conclusion, and situations have been resolved. It did not come without despair and frustration. I do not ever want to deal with those situations again, and the trauma associated with the experience has been a lot to bare. I question everything, and I observe calculations of the sort and diligently process them accordingly. Again, I don't know who I have become, but bet your bottom dollar it will be me you want in your corner when the fight is on!
Freedom of speech and the way any situation affects you personally, you have the right to expression. The First Amendment protects your voice and how you use it. Your social media platform is yours solely. As I have stated before, it is not a publishing platform but a space to hold thoughts, experiences, using your words and voice, as it has touched, troubled, or distressed you. What facts you bring to awareness are based on how the position has impacted your life. It is not a crime, nor should anyone strongarm you to stay silent.
Ex: recently, on a trendy social media platform, a popular content creator called out Anthem Blue Shield on their practices and their lack of following regulations stated by law. It was an experience that affected her personally, and because she could not get her problem answered or any attention to the matter, she took to her personal social media page and called them out using her voice and the First Amendment right to express. The situation she was dealing with impacted not only her but 1000's of others. She felt it was her right to bring a highlighted version of this pragmatic action that was doing a disservice to where her money and others was going.
I believe no one wants to be a whistleblower, but sometimes the one with the loudest annoyance gets something done to benefit others.
We all know insurance companies have loopholes that most will never understand, and the underwriters are directed by lobbyists or those getting kickbacks, making their regulations as they feel fit to profit off of many who suffer. On the smaller scale, many businesses do not even understand how their offices are run or what the law, consumer, or other says. They pay people to set up operations, believing they are in the jurisdiction of what is lawfully correct and doable to profit, when it is not. The basic consumer does not know any different, and they continue to shell out hard-earned money because they're not educated in the matter, being taken advantage of, which is plundering.
The only reason I know any of this is because of the Business Coaching classes I taught. Teaching women who want to start side hustles, create passive income, or even start a business. LLC vs sole proprietor, and if needed, how you set up your POS (point of sale), there is a formula and a guideline that you must follow rule especially if you are not licensed as a lender, creditor, or any other financial institution. There is the Usury Law. There are % that must stay within the legal perimeter. Sadly, when the craft of the business is not aware of the year-end %, it reflects impractical usage of the monthly %, not in compliance with the law. That bottom dollar amount affects the customers' payments and how things are paid down.
Again, repeating, I taught this class. This class is a personal development class based on business practicality. I recently reopened this class. It is a class, not a course. Take what you need! Learn the hustle and earn extra!
As a customer, paying consumer, and an instructor, I observe and watch carefully how my money goes out. I want others to also be aware and learn to understand how to read all of their monthly statements. With the ever-rising cost of utilities, it is important to see usage vs $$$, and if late fees are applicable, they can not be ballooned and interest added. Also, if service is disconnected, you can not be charged more than what you owe. Most people are not aware. I talk about these issues and matters in my business coaching class.
Additionally, with what I have dealt with in late and learned, in regards to buying a car, a used car that is faulty or has issues does not fall into the lemon law. Your warranty or extended warranty protects you, or it should, I need to say. The dealership is responsible for and they can be made accountable by law. The process is tedious, and finding a representation is long. When contacting any authorities to defend you, make sure you have details of your issues and how the matter was handled. Know your rights. Do your homework. In my situation, after writing a 3-paragraph review on the dealership's page, I did get one of the last issues fixed. I then took matters into my own hands and found a reputable mechanic, who could document with photos what repairs would need to be done in the near future, and I stick with my first opinion. Warranties are a scam, and dealerships just want the sale, and they do not care who you are!
Lastly, out of respect, I removed several of my business videos and posts and that 3-paragraph review. There was no malice intended. Period. The end. No one should have to fight for what is right and to make things correct. No one should have to become a completely different version of themselves to get matters resolved. Everyone on this planet right now is trying to manage their money and keep their head above water to survive.
If your business is suffering and you are not attracting the right customers, look at your operations. What is your business model, and what is your mission statement? Are you being transparent and true to that motto? Who are your customers? Is your brand attracting the correct buying patrons? Can they afford your service or product, and what can you do to ACCOMMODATE them? Attention to service and knowing who your customers are, what their needs are, and what you can do to put your bottom $$ line aside to help out who need what you have to offer. There is no place right now for greed or predatory operations to keep your entity afloat. Approach says everything when building and then keeping your customers coming back! And finally, who is your front person? Are they trained efficiently in your operations? Are they acting from a script, being told what to do? Do they know legal limits? What is their image saying about you and the company they are representing? Knowledge is powerful, and once you learn something, you can never unlearn it!
I can always make more videos and post on a variety of topics in regards to my classes and what I stand for, and what I teach and practice. Buyer beware, and standing on practicality, educating those who want to be in the know, and how life can better serve who and what we do in our everyday lives.
Look for my newest interview with Canvas Rebel magazine, coming soon. Where I talk about my classes I teach, the book I just had published, and the one I am currently working on.
Fate Turns On A Dime, Flip the coin, it does not have to be a fight... unless you make it one!
