Free To Pursuit

It has been bit more difficult to sit at the computer to do any work. It has been completely a bust doing video or going live. Burn out and lack of motivation with no direction has become the norm not only for me but for a general population who has been trying to make a living doing things on their own and forgoing any corporate mandates. It has always been my dream to do things my way and survive as I know based on subjects I am so passionate about; writing, art, teaching, speaking and lets not forget my horse-prenuership. It has been very apparent that it has come down to categories and by the powers to be you better fit into a box finding which category you fit into. I hope there is a niche for who and what you do. I hope for you these last several months of idiosy has not effected your physce'.

I am facisnated by history. I always have been. The knowing of what once was and things that used to be and the social practices of how a town got started and where their people came from and of course all of their humble beginnings. Location location location and the freedom to pursue life or the freedom to pursuit how to make an income based on what "trade or craft" you learned. The art of apprentiship or what had been handed down by family tradition was sure to lead and forge a path onto what one would do to make a living. I would imagine my grandpa a bit upset he had all girls and mostly all girl grandchildren that he would never teach his shoe cobbler trade to. Although I do believe if he would have lived longer, it would have been me in his shop learning how to wield that knife cutting leather to repair shoes. The art of cobbler-ry! A long gone trade...

If modern times, high tech, greed, box store commerce, infrustructure, manufacturing, etc... if those did not have its own set of properties; if we looked back on a more serious nature to what was needed to get a town started and realizing the trades that were depended on for the need of the people... I wonder how one would view what is essential now and how would all practical matters be applied differently.  Lets examine...

The news, a town needed a news paper person, one writer and  one printer. The town would have needed a general store; things they would need to purchase on a monthly base that they could not grow, harvest and raise on their own. Those commodities bought that would be sent in by stage coach, rail or river boat. Imported goods from trappers, textilesfrom further away lands. A barber...shower and a shave, a bath house. A tailor to mend what apparel could not be mended by a local seamstress. An iron smith or a horse-shoer, a barn to house over night horses to shelter. A hotel, saloon and diner. A shoe cobbler. A bank, a post office and its pony express... a mill and all its glorious timbers so homesteads could be built. Lets not forget churches and pastors, A place to congreagte and pray for redemption and the importance of those quaint one room school houses where a teacher would give her life and give up any freedoms to be a fine example for students to learn from. There may have been a surveyor and of course a sheriff and a few deputies to over see peace and keep order in a town and its peoples that just wanted to live accordingly following all heart paths for a new life. {Dr/dentist, morturary/care taker, grave digger}

I'm sure I have left out a few other tradesman and or craftsman but my point, it is those things that I have forementioned above that truly is the essentials to life. Can you fit into any of those categories? With what you know right now, are you equipped to do any of those jobs? Other than not having indoor plumbing which came much later down that rural path, I would have survived just fine. I would have found myself in several of those categories. Seamstress, teacher, writer, cook/waitress and even horse caretaking... Although women did not have to much of a place, unless she was a widow; it was the men-folk that worked and made a name for the town and the people that lived in it.

So here we are in modern times with gov officials with their heads up their ass. Yes I said it! Corporate greed! Civil unrest brought on by racial tensions and biased anger fueled by the media and an old bag with a gavel telling the masses who is important and essential trying to give exuberant liberties and dollars for groups of people who do not have a legal residency but are willing to take in the freedoms at our expense. It would do me no good to tell her, "hey look lady, put down the vodka, maybe you need to stop in your tracks and take a trip down history lane!" but those facts would do her no use of good in her detrimental efforts to destroy what those that traveled dirt roads looking to homestead, staking claim and placing a flag of loyalty, showing support of a country and it lands for a free way of life. Even at that time immigrants that came to this country looking for freedoms knew the importance and the pride they would gain by being documented as newly AMERICAN CITIZENS.

Im at a loss of mental energy to pursuit my dreams as I am being told, "hey you are not important. You do not matter. Your livihood does not make us any money so therefore... you can not exist!" As I watch our president who I truly respect and appreciate take on social media for biased fact checking and other conserative nonsense that want to persuade  a general population of people to give up what our forefathers lived and died for. 13 colonies that formed alliances to become states to work for the people, we the people.

The First Amendment guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition. ... It guarantees freedom of expression by prohibiting Congress from restricting the press or the rights of individuals to speak freely.

So as I sit here really trying to figure my next move and how I plan to proceed with teaching and or lending my voice through writing, I am seeking a new approach for an old trade that has been around since the beginning of time... teaching what I know how to do becuase my craft; all of my crafts are essential to all the people whose lives can be enriched by what they need to learn. Many towns were started by those that were gifted in their trades... it is time to get back to the practicality of what one deems essential for their life to make a living.

 It is very important right now you use your voice and speak out peacefully to make a stand. The biggest virus we have is the ugly politicians destroying our way of life to provide for our families, living true to ourselves and upholding all constitutional laws. They work for us and it is not the other way around.
